Cayenne Pepper for Weight Loss

Day 69 of my fast, Day one of the rest of my life
Back when I was studying to be an herbalist at the School of Natural Healing in Utah, there were two things that were drummed into our heads. Milk and dairy products are the worst thing ever conceived by man and is the cause of many of our modern aliments, and cayenne pepper, is the most wonder herb ever to grace mankind.
The use and properties of cayenne pepper have been acclaimed throughout the centuries. It has been used for colds, circular and digestive problems, repertory ills, infections and more. It is clammed to cure heart attacks, ulcers, improve eye circulation, bleeding, and acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs. It also is a very high source of Vitamins A and C, has the complete B complexes, and is very rich in organic calcium and potassium. In essence cayenne pepper is the wonder drug of the natural food movement.
One thing more, that cayenne pepper does, is assist with weight loss.
For those who have read my blogs before you know that one my biggest worries with this prolonged fast that I am on, is that my metabolism will slow way down, because I’m living on between 500 and 700 calories a day, and that when I start to eat normal, 12,000 to 15,000 calories a day, the weight will just start coming back. The body is such an amazing adaptive mechanism that it can find ways to survive, even at starvation rates of 500 to 700 calories a day. One of the ways that it survives is to lower the metabolism, so my trick is to try my best to raise my metabolism so I can burn more calories, and lose more fat. Of course the best way to raise your metabolism is through exercise, if you can get your heart rate up, and your blood pumping, you are going to lose more weight. But there are some subtle things you can do to increase your metabolism as well. Cayenne pepper is one of those things.
Cayenne pepper is active stimulant that immediately strengthens the heart, it improves circulation, and it enhances energy. It has thermogenic properties which although doesn’t burn fat, raises the metabolism rate approx. 25% which in turn will generate grater weight loss. Is it as good as exercise? NO, but in arsenal of weapons to fight obesity, it has it place.
So how do you take cayenne pepper?
The easiest way of course is capsules, but be super careful, you have to have food in your stomach, if you take a cayenne pepper capsules on an empty stomach, it going to cause you lots of pain when it opens up, trust me I know! Of course the way they taught us in school was by drinking an absolutely vial concoction of a glass of water and a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, you get use to it after awhile but there’s a bit of a gag reflex when you first start out, sometimes it helps to start out with an 1/8 teaspoon in warm water, like a cup of tea. It does improve your circulatory, digestive, glandular, and lymphatic systems, but man it can be difficult swallowing at times.
I should mention that cayenne pepper comes in two strengths 30,000 to 40,000 BTUs and the hotter 60,000 to 90,000 BTUs (Yes that’s British thermal units, or heating units, just like your home heating system, that’s how they measure how hot the peppers are.) For beginners start out with the lowest strengths, there’s less of a gag response, and it will let you find out how well your body tolerates it. Once you get accustom to it you can always go higher.
As I’ve said it’s a weapon in your arsenal against obesity, it’s not for everyone, but it will raise your metabolism, improve your circulatory, digestive, glandular, and lymphatic systems, and help you lose weight.
So take care everyone, keep up the good fight, I need to go do some exercise now, and try to apply to a few more jobs, I hope the day finds you well and God bless everyone who follows my progress.
Peace

Great advice. I'm going to try cayenne. I think the message of dairy is right on too. I try to shy away from it.
Every product that people require is grown natural. It's good to see people catching on to natural methods of weight loss such as chilli pepper/capsiplex/cayenne to better their weight loss success. The days of chemical based supplements are well gone. Thanks for this article.
see that concoction is hard to swallow that is why they invented vegetarian empty gel capsules :) fill one of those up with some food in your stomach and don't even sweat the taste :) ohh I would do half a capsule ful on an 0 sized capsule don't even try a 00 size capsule full... (I have I felt like it was burning right through me!

Excellent - we eat a lot of cayenne pepper - I sprinkle it on just about all of our food. I didn't realize that it had all of these health benefits. Thanks for the info!
